Microcement is a decorative coating made from fine cement, polymers, aggregates and pigments, trowelled on by hand in layers of roughly 2 to 3mm. That thinness is the whole point. It adds almost nothing to your floor height, so doors still close, thresholds still line up and skirtings do not need to come off.
What you end up with is one continuous surface: no joints, no grout lines, no seams through the middle of the room. Because it is worked by hand rather than laid in a grid, every floor comes out slightly different. That is not a fault, that is the material, and it is exactly why people choose it.
